Rosari: Senjata kita pada zaman ini

Pada tahun 1957, Sister Lucia, seer (visionari) yang terakhir di Fatima, menekankan tentang kepentingan berdoa Rosari diakhir-akhir zaman ini. Menurutnya: “Pada zaman ini, Perawan Maria telah memberikan suatu kelebihan pada doa Rosari. Kelebihan ini amat bermakna kerana Perawan Maria mengatakan tidak ada masalah, walau betapa susah pun, samada ianya dari segi fizikal atau spiritual, dalam hidup seseorang, atau keluarga kita, atau keluarga diseluruh dunia atau komuniti para religius, atau pun kehidupan rakyat atau sesebuah negara, yang tidak dapat diatasi oleh Rosari. Tidak ada masalah, walau betapa rumit pun, yang tidak boleh diselesaikan melalui doa Rosari. Doa Rosari akan menyelamatkan kita, akan menguduskan kita. Melalui doa Rosari, kita dapat menyenangkan hati Tuhan and akan menyelamatkan banyak jiwa yang sesat.

Santo Louis de Montfort telah memberikan jaminan akan kelebihan Rosari, sama seperti kata-kata yang telah diungkapkan oleh Sister Lucia. Santo ini mengatakan: “Jika kamu setia berdoa Rosari setiap hari sehingga hari-hari terakhir kamu, saya memberi jaminan, walau betapa besar pun dosa yang telah kamu buat, kamu akan tetap menerima mahkota cahaya. (1 Pet 5:4) Walaupun kamu berada dalam kedudukan yang tiada harapan, walaupun sebelah kaki kamu sudah memijak neraka, walaupun kamu telah menjual roh kamu kepada iblis seperti pengamal ilmu hitam, walaupun kamu mengikut ajaran sesat sehingga layak dipanggil iblis, jiwa kamu akan merindui kepada injil dan agama Katolik, dan akhirnya akan mengubah kehidupan kamu dan menyelamatkan jiwa kamu – Ingatlah apa yang saya katakan – JIKA kamu setia berdoa Rosari setiap hari sehingga Tuhan memanggil kamu dengan tujuan ingin mengetahui kebenaran dan penyesalan semua dosa dan pertaubatan kepada dosa-dosa kamu.”

In 1957, the last Fatima seer Sister Lucia again stressed the importance of the Rosary. She said: “In these latter times in which we live, the Most Holy Virgin has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary. She has given this efficacy to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families, of the families of the world or of the religious communities, or even of the life of peoples and nations, that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary. With the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves. We will sanctify ourselves. We will console Our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.”

The great St. Louis de Montfort then makes a very strong assurance about the efficacy of the Rosary, words quite similar to those of Sr. Lucy. He affirms: “If you say the Rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that, in spite of the gravity of your sins, ‘you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.’ (1 Pet 5:4) Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have one foot in Hell, even if you have sold your soul to the Devil as the sorcerers of black magic, and even if you are a heretic as obstinate as a Devil, sooner or later you will be converted, will amend your life and save your soul, if – and mark well what I say – if you say the Rosary devoutly every day until death for the purpose of knowing the truth and obtaining contrition and pardon for your sins.”
