Catholic Obedience

God through His Catholic Church has absolute authority over my conscience BUT in the last resort God meant me to judge, if His hierachy is departing from His teaching. Obedience to men has limits - Galatians 1:8-9

The Pope, as the Vicar of Christ, is given by Christ direct authority over the whole church BUT he is not infallible in everything he says or does.

Lawful superiors are to be respected as the representatives of Christ BUT if they depart gravely from the Catholic Faith, I may even rebuke them in public - Gal 2: 11-14

I will gladly obey the appointed servants of God, legitimate bishops and priests BUT not when I know they are leading men away from God.

I will always respect the Church authorities as such, - John 18:23, Acts 23:6 BUT I need not follow Church leaders who violate the traditions of the faith.

Church punishment are terrifying instruments of God's law when valid BUT when they are without foundation they are not valid - Old Code, c.2242; New Code, c.1321

I must attend the Catholic Mass BUT I am not obliged to attend the Novus Ordo Mass (more about this later), because it destroys the Catholic Faith.

Ketaatan dari umat Katolik

Melalui Gereja Roman Katolik, Tuhan mempunyai autoriti yang mutlak ke atas pemikiran saya TETAPI pada masa zaman krisis, Tuhan mengkehendaki saya mengadili sekiranya pemimpin-pemimpin dalam gereja menyimpang dari ajaran sebenar. Ketaatan kepada manusia ada batasannya. – Gal 1: 8-9

Paus, sebagai ketua wakil Kristus dibumi, telah diberi mandat penuh ke atas seluruh gereja Kristus TETAPI dia tidak kebal-salah dalam semua perbuatan dan percakapannya.

Pemimpin yang dipilih melalui undang-undang yang sah mewakili Kristus dan mestilah dihormati TETAPI sekiranya pemimpin menyeleweng dari ajaran Katolik, saya boleh menegurnya secara umum – Gal 2: 11-14

Saya dengan rela dan sukacita taat kepada pemimpin Tuhan iaitu uskup dan paderi TETAPI sekiranya mereka menyimpang dari ajaran sebenar sehingga menyebabkan banyak jiwa hilang, maka saya akan memprotes.

Saya akan selalu menghormati autoriti dari Gereja seperti yang dinyatakan – Yohannes 18:23, Kisah para rasul 23: 6 TETAPI saya tidak perlu mentaati pemimpin yang melanggari tradisi iman.

Hukuman dari Gereja adalah perintah hukuman menakutkan yang datangnya dari Tuhan sendiri dan ianya sah TETAPI sekiranya hukuman tidak berdasarkan keadilan, maka ianya tidak sah. - Kod Lama, c.2242; Kod Baru, c.1321

Saya mesti menghadirkan diri semasa perayaan misa Katolik TETAPI saya tidak dimestikan hadir dalam perayaan misa Novus Ordo (maklumat lebih lanjut tentang ini akan dimuatkan dalam blog), kerana ia membinasakan iman Katolik.
